Norwayne Baseball falls at Dalton 4-2

The Norwayne baseball team traveled to Dalton on Tuesday night for a WCAL match-up and fell 4-2.  The Bulldogs scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to ice the game.  Logan Moyer pitched 5 innings for the Cats and struck out 5 Dalton batters.  Devon Pittman pitched 1 inning for Norwayne.  Picking up

Norwayne Boys Track falls to Wooster 84-53

The Norwayne boys track team hosted Wooster on Thursday night to open up the season and fell 84-53.  Picking up wins for the Cats were Colin Gerber(100-m dash, pole vault) and Dominick Roper(discus).  Also picking up wins for Norwayne were the 800-m relay, 400-m relay and 1600-m relay teams.  Norwayne will be back in action

Norwayne Girls Track Defeats Wooster 76-61

The Norwayne girls track team opened up their season with a 76-61 dual win over visiting Wooster.  Winners for the Bobcats were Rachel Schmidt(100-m hurdles, 300-m hurdles), Sarah Schmidt(400-m run), Kenzie Lendon(shot put), Audrey Bishop(long jump), and Allie Studer(pole vault).  Also picking up wins on the night were the 800-m relay, 400-m relay and the

Gavin Stika wins 152-lb State Championship!!

Congratulations to Norwayne’s Gavin Stika for winning the 2018 152-lb State Championship!  Gavin participated in the State Championship this past weekend at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus and won the state championship in convincing fashion.  Gavin started his tournament with a 9-0 win over West Jefferson’s Mark Woodard.  He followed that with a 13-1 win

Gavin Stika and Kaden Kidd to lead Bobcats Wrestling at State Tournament

The Norwayne Bobcats wrestling team traveled to Garfield Heights this past weekend to compete in the 2018 District Tournament.  Gavin Stika was the 152-pound champion and will be traveling to Columbus to compete in the 2018 OHSAA State Wrestling Championships.  Joining Stika will be Freshmen Kaden Kidd at 170-pounds.  Kidd finished 4th at the Districts
