Norwayne Baseball knocks off Dalton 12-6

A seven-run second inning helped propel the Norwayne Bobcats baseball team to a win over visiting Dalton on Wednesday night 12-6.  Weston Garman led the way at the plate with a triple, a double and 3 runs scored.  JT Taylor hit a home run and finished the night with 5 RBI’s.  Ben Burke was 4-4

Norwayne boys track team splits with Smithville and Waynedale

The Norwayne boys track team hosted Smithville and Waynedale on Tuesday night for a tri-meet.  The Smithies(99) won the meet with Norwayne(63) and Waynedale(13) behind them.  Picking up first place finishes for Norwayne were Traevon Alford(100m dash, 200m dash) and Maccoy Stika(400m dash).  Also winning for the Cats were the 400, 1600 and 3200m relay

Norwayne girls track beats Smithville and Waynedale in a tri-meet

The Norwayne baseball team traveled to Dalton on Tuesday night for a WCAL match-up and fell 4-2.  The Bulldogs scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to ice the game.  Logan Moyer pitched 5 innings for the Cats and struck out 5 Dalton batters.  Devon Pittman pitched 1 inning for Norwayne.  Picking up

Gavin Stika wins 152-lb State Championship!!

Congratulations to Norwayne’s Gavin Stika for winning the 2018 152-lb State Championship!  Gavin participated in the State Championship this past weekend at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus and won the state championship in convincing fashion.  Gavin started his tournament with a 9-0 win over West Jefferson’s Mark Woodard.  He followed that with a 13-1 win
