Norwayne Boys Track Team is 2018 WCAL Runner-Up

The Norwayne girls track team went to Orrville on Saturday and brought home the 2018 Wayne County Athletic League Championship.  Rachel Schmidt won MVP honors by winning the 100m and 300m hurdles.  She was also the anchor leg of the winning 400m relay team and finished 2nd in the 200m dash.  Picking up WCAL Championships

Norwayne Baseball Falls in Sectional Finals 16-1

The Norwayne baseball team opened up their 2018 tournament with a home win over visiting Orrville 10-0 in 5 innings.  The Cats now advance to play #1 seed Hillsdale in Jeromesville on Thursday night.  Pitcher Devon Pittman struck out 9 Orrville batters and worked a 4-hitter.  J.T. The #1 seed Norwayne softball team made quick work of the Chippewa Chipps on Tuesday night 4-0.  Freshman pitcher Kennedy Kay was untouchable as she mowed through Chippewa to toss a perfect game on 83 pitches for Norwayne in a Division III  Sectional final. The Norwayne softball team has done their job to set up a showdown on Friday night with Hillsdale for the WCAL lead.  The Cats went to Chippewa and knocked off the Chipps 8-0.  Freshmen Kennedy Kay tossed a 2-hit shutout while striking out 10 Chippewa batters.  Tori Hankins had a tremendous night at the plate

The Norwayne baseball team traveled to Chippewa on Wednesday night and knocked of the host Chipps 7-4.  J.T.
