The Norwayne girls soccer team fell victim to an own goal to trail the visiting Chippewa Chipps 1-0 on Tuesday night. However, that lead would not last long as the Lady Cats took control of the game from there and came away with a 3-1 WCAL win. Sarah Schmidt scored on a corner kick at the 26th minute on a great shot that curved around the Chipps’ goalie. Kelsie Mannasmith would add another goal for Norwayne less than 3 minutes later. Brynn Mowrer would add the finishing touches in the 2nd half with a goal of her own. It was a big win for Norwayne to start their 2019 league campaign. The Bobcats are now 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in the WCAL.
