The Norwayne girls basketball team traveled to Dalton on Thursday night for a battle for second place in the WCAL and came up short 67-43. The Bulldogs were able to connect on 13 3-pointers as a team on the night. The Cats were down 10 at the intermission and able to keep it at 10 after 3 quarters, but were not able to keep the Dawgs from outscoring them 16-2 in the 4th quarter. Norwayne was led by Olivia Stanley with 15 points. Taylor DeMassimo and Kennedy Kay added 8 points each for the Cats. Kay was also able to grab a team high 8 rebounds. Caitlyn DeMassimo had 7 points, Grace Deidrick 3 points and Masey Lethco had 2 points to finish the scoring for Norwayne. The Lady Cats are now 17-4 on the season and 9-4 in the WCAL. They will finish out the regular season on Tuesday when they host Waynedale.
