The Norwayne girls basketball team continued their hot start to the season with a 55-40 road win at league foe Northwestern on Thursday night. Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo led the Cats on the offensive end with 21 points. Junior Taylor DeMassimo followed her sister with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Norwayne led 15-4 after 1 quarter of play and were able to extend the lead to 29-14 at the half. Grace Deidrick and Olivia Stanley added 7 and 6 points respectively to help in the win. Norwayne was able to put the game away in the fourth quarter as they went 7-10 from the line down the stretch. The Lady Cats are now 3-0 on the early season and 1-0 in the WCAL. They will host Chippewa next Thursday.
