The Norwayne football team fell behind 8-0 in the first quarter to visiting Salineville Southern and then took control from there and handled the Indians 52-16. Clay Harvey scored the first of his 5 rushing touchdowns at the 6:35 mark of the second quarter to get the Cats on the board. Bryce Hall would get the second score with a 66 yard kickoff return for a touchdown after the Indians took a 16-7 lead. Harvey would add another 3 yard touchdown run to end the half to give Norwayne a 19-16 lead. Norwayne got on the board early and often in the second half with Clay Harvey adding 3 more rushing touchdowns of 10, 7 and 24 yards each. Senior Austin Kinder would pick up a Southern fumble and take it to the end zone to finish off a 27 point 3rd quarter for the Cats and a 46-16 lead. Bryce Hall would cap off the scoring with an 18 yard touchdown reception to put the game away and advance Norwayne to week 12. Clay Harvey finished the night with 17 carries for 127 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ameer Cunningham had 9 carries for 69 yards and Logan Moyer finished with 3 carries for 23 yards. Harvey went 11-17 through the air for 135 yards and a touchdown. The receiving corps was led by Quinn Hiles with 8 catches for 67 yards and Bryce Hall with 2 catches for 26 yards and a touchdown. Austin Kinder added 1 catch for 42 yards. Norwayne has now won 10 straight games and sits at 10-1 on the season. They will play Kirtland at Strongsville on Friday at 7:00.
